R&S October 2013 – Victory for Richard Healey Removals at Truckfest

Congratulations all round to Richard Healey Removals Ltd for their stunning success at Truckfest Scotland 2013. The company attends the weekend festival every year and enter their trucks in the competitions. This year, Richard Healey Removals took along two brand new DAF CF65 trucks and a lightweight 3.5 tonne Luton van.

The two trucks, built for their lightweight and fuel efficient bodies with maximum capacity, were sparkling clean for the judges to inspect. The team had worked on the trucks, polishing the chassis, body and interior to perfection. After the judges examined the trucks, the company were delighted to hear that the two DAF trucks were through to the Grand Final. Barry Howitt and George Clements drove the trucks in to the main arena to join nearly thirty other trucks lined up. They waited there with baited breath to hear who had won the awards.

On the big day, Richard Healey’s one- year old DAF won second place in the Best Kept Working Rigid competition from both Truckfest and The Scottish Trucker Club. The newest edition to company’s fleet, an 18 tonne truck featuring a tail lift, went one better, and was awarded first place in Best Kept New Working Truck. So, all the hard work the team put in to the truck before the show paid off!

According to Richard Healey Removals, these new additions to the fleet are enabling the business to further expand and move in to new areas. The first place winning truck is purpose-built for commercial removals and the company believes it demonstrates how Richard Healey Removals is currently focusing on growing the commercial moving side of its business.

The quality of Richard Healey Removals’ trucks mirrors the quality of every aspect of the company, right through from the trucks, equipment and service to the staff and training. The pride taken in all of these areas shows through to our customers and is allowing the company to branch out in to a greater amount of commercial and overseas work. The company would also like to thank the organisers and judges at Truckfest and everyone who came along to the show. And most important of all, Richard Healey Removals would like to thank its staff who gave blood, sweat and tears to make the trucks spotless for the competition!
