On 11th to 13th May the annual British Association of Removers conference took place in Brighton.
Thursday 11th May saw the official opening date of the conference which included Activities sponsored by BAR Services: such as Karting Clay Pigeon and Axe Throwing. There was also an International Visitor Lunch with the BAR Overseas Group and welcome Drinks and buffet sponsored by MoveMan.
Friday 12th May began with BAR President Mark Chudley officially opening the Conference Exhibition before completing the handover of the Presidential chain of office to Mike Andrews who then discussed his plans for the association going forward.
In the afternoon there was a host of different speakers including Michael ‘Eddie the Eagle’ Edwards
Saturday 13th May had many things happening such as workshops, a raffle and potentially the most anticipated event the announcement of the Domestic Mover of The Year 2023.
Unfortunately we were unable to go all the way and win the competition however we did get to collect our finalist award pictured below
Richard Healey Removals would like to congratulate Bournes for winning the award. We also send our congratulations to Russell Fewins for winning the Commercial Mover of the Year. We topped of a wonderful weekend by enjoying some drinks with our fellow movers.
Another fantastic conference and we cannot wait to see what Glasgow brings.
