Moving Checklist

Keep track of what you have to do by ticking the boxes as you complete each task.
  • Arrange for our estimator to come out and give you a quotation for any removal or storage services you require
  • After thoroughly checking your estimate and reading our terms and conditions, ensure your signed acceptance is returned to the office, ensuring your dates are confirmed
  • If packing materials are not included in your estimate these can be purchased in advance
  • Pack any unnecessary items well in advance, this will makes things less stressful as your moving day approaches
  • Dispose of any items that you don't wish to take to your new home well in advance. If you have not used something in two years are you going to use it again?
  • Clear out your loft space
  • Arrange for services to be cut off and reconnected at your new premises
  • Notify all relevant persons of your change of address such as banks, credit card companies, DVLA
  • Ensure we are informed of your contact number on the day of the removal
  • If carrying out your own packing start this well in advance so things are not left until the last minute. Label boxes in order to make unpacking easier at your new home
  • Should you have children or pets, try and ask friends/relative to look after them on the day of the move
  • Keep some items available for immediate use at your new home for example kettle, tea bags etc. You may feel like a refreshment
  • Most of all keep calm, using the services of a professional removal company will help to make your removal day run as smoothly as possible
